Eugenia is a replica of an earlier yacht of the same name, originally built in 1879 and sunk in 1951 in its home harbour on the island of Remörarna, part of the Bolax archipelago. Today, Eugenia sails with tourists and various groups to showcase the rich biodiversity of the Archipelago Sea. As a partner of the Archipelago Sea Biosphere Reserve, Eugenia also teaches and promotes the skills and cultural heritage of traditional sailing to children, young people, and adults.
Eugenia is coming for a visit at the Archipelago Centre Korpoström on Monday, 27 July, and will host an open deck during the morning for everyone interested. Come aboard to learn more about the vessel, its history, and the traditions of sailing!
