24.6 – Kid’s labs 10 year anniversary!
For ten years, Junnulabra has been exploring the Archipelago Sea together with children and curious adults. Every summer, Junnulabra at the Archipelago Centre Korpoström offers free educational activities and the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a marine biologist for a day. You are warmly welcome to celebrate Junnulabra’s 10th birthday at the Archipelago Centre Korpoström on June 24!
26.6 – Pelago Band
Pelago Band performs the very best of pop, rock, soul, and funk from past decades right up to the present day. Their diverse setlist combines timeless classics with more recent hits. The band’s ever-evolving repertoire guarantees a mix of beloved favourites and surprising gems from across the decades. Join us for an evening of great live music from 7:00 PM on June 26 at the Archipelago Centre Korpoström!
27.6 – Aava-festival: composition workshop
Welcome to a free composition workshop led by composer and performer Matilda Seppälä as part of Aava Festival 2026! We will begin with the fundamentals of working with sound by tuning and sensitising our sense of hearing to the sounds around us. Through guided exercises, we will gradually move towards sound improvisation, graphic notation, and making music together. In this workshop, any sound can serve as compositional material. We will focus on finding ways for each participant to create sound based on their own impulses or those offered by the surrounding environment. No instrumental skills, music-reading ability, or formal musical training are required—curiosity and a willingness to experiment are all you need.
